HRC is a different kind of animal advocacy organization. We're a nonprofit, but we don't advocate to the public or compete with other groups by using direct mail campaigns. Most of HRC's revenue comes from our discounted research fees for work on behalf of our clients. But as our income from grants and donations increases, so does HRC's ability to create centralized resources and provide deep discounts to smaller organizations.

Through our free resources like HumaneSpot.org and our discounted services, HRC is making research accessible and meaningful for animal advocates. This allows them to cost-effectively improve their campaigns and measure their impact using a wide range of research methods. And without measuring impact, there is simply no way to know if they are making a real difference.
